Insecurity: CDS promises sustained joint training exercises for military

The Chief of Defense Staff, CDS, General Christopher Musa has assured of adequate synergy and sustainable joint training exercises for the Nigerian military towards combating insecurity in the country.

Musa stated this at the closing of the 2nd Training Exercise of Mugun Bugu 2023, in Kontagora, Niger State.

The CDS, who spoke through the Chief of Doctrine, Major General Jal A. Jimoh, said, “The Nigerian Air Force has been integrated to provide air power and support to the ground troops in achieving these objectives.”

He tasked the Armed Forces on the need to be patriotic, committed and dedicated to their duty while appreciating their resilience to scale up professionalism.

The Chief of Army Staff Lt General Taoreed Lagbaja represented by the Chief of Training Army, Major General S.G Mohammed, called on the trainees to leverage on the knowledge gained in addressing insecurity in various regional challenges in the country.

The COAS added, “The Mugun Bugu training exercise 2023 has demonstrated the genuine commitment to producing highly versatile and intellectually sound military professionalism in the country.”
