Afrobeats singer, Wande Coal has claimed to have pioneered the new sound of music in Nigerian.
He made the assertion while speaking on his influence on the music industry
Wande Coal, during an interview with Cool FM Lagos, confidently stated that he inspired the current wave of Afrobeats artistes gaining global recognition.
“I am the best at what I do. I am a legend. I brought the new generation sounds and the wave of new artists that’s happening now.
“I’m happy to have done it. Also, I still want to do more. I feel like music never ends. Music is very universal. That is why there are many genres of music.
“All these sounds I try to fuse them in my music. Since I came into industry, I have shown versatility in my songs. That’s why none of my songs sound alike. I also love working with new producers because music never ends.”
