Lobi Stars head coach, Eugene Agagbe has commended his players for playing to instructions during their narrow victory over Niger Tornadoes.
Kumaga Surr’s late-minute strike gave the Pride of Benue a 1-0 win against Niger Tornadoes at the Lafia City Stadium on Thursday.
Agagbe posited that his players showed character to secure maximum points in the game.
He assured that the team will keep striving to achieve their objective this season.
“I thanked my boys for playing to instruction in the second half of the game,” Agagbe told the club’s media.
“The boys played with character and it showed that they are equal to the task and are ready to get what they are looking for in the 23/24 season and our most target is to be among the first three.”
Lobi Stars are second on the table with 29 points.
Agagbe’s side will battle Kwara United on matchday 17 fixture at the Kwara Sports Complex in Ilorin.
