Remo Stars technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede, says his side must improve defensively if they want to win the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, title.
Remo Stars have conceded 10 goals in their last five league matches.
“Defensively, we want to get better; we want to be a team that goes games without conceding; unfortunately, it hasn’t happened in the last five games,” he told the club’s media.
“That’s not what we stand for; we want to defend as much as we attack to score and deny our opponents from scoring. We would like to improve defensively, both in transition and in organising our defence.”
The Sky Blue Star defeated Heartland 4-1 in a matchday 36 fixture at the Remo Stars Stadium on Wednesday.
They moved up to second place on the table following the win.
