Hold SDP responsible if anything happens to INEC office in Kogi – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council in Kogi State has urged the general public to hold the Social Democratic Party (SDP) accountable if anything untoward occurs at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Lokoja.

The APC campaign council urged security agencies to beef up security around INEC offices.

Mr Kingsley Fanwo, the APC campaign council’s Director of Media and Publicity/Spokesperson, made the calls in a statement issued in Lokoja on Sunday night.

The SDP, in a statement by its Director General, New Media, MuriSam Campaign Council, Mr Isaiah Ijele, alleged preparations to burn down the INEC office.

“It has come to our notice via grave vines that there is an urgent need for security to be beefed around the Kogi INEC office in order to avert the sinister plot to burn down the office by mandate bandits,” Ijele alleged.

However, the APC campaign council stated that the party was certain that the SDP’s false alert about an alleged planned attack on the INEC office intended to cover up the party’s evil goal of torching the INEC office and blaming it on the APC.
