The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has said aside from the three bodies found in the ill-fated helicopter operated by East Winds Aviation that crashed on Thursday in Port Harcourt, no other bodies have been recovered.
DAILY POST recalls that about eight people died after a helicopter ditched into the waters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, earlier in the week.
About three bodies were subsequently recovered from the scene.
Giving an update on Sunday, the NNPCL spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, in a statement said about five bodies are still missing.
He stated that intensified search and rescue operations for the remaining bodies are currently ongoing.
“Once again, our hearts and prayers are with family members of this unfortunate incident,” he added.
