A middle-aged man was allegedly shot dead by unknown gunmen around Okesa Roundabout in Ado Ekiti.
The man, who was one of those issuing tickets to commercial motorcyclists around Okesa Roundabout, was reportedly fired upon by unknown assailants who arrived on another motorcycle.
Witnesses said that the killers fled after perpetrating the act.
When contacted, Chairman of the Okada Riders Association, Ekiti State, Mr Kunle Asaolu, confirmed that the man was one of those working with the association.
The attack was also confirmed by the spokesperson for Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu, who said an investigation has commenced.
The corpse has been deposited at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital morgue.
