He urged the people to intensify fervent prayers against the ongoing terrorist activities.
The governor made these remarks while offering condolences to the Emir of Maru, Alhaji Abubakar Gado Mai Gari, in his palace. He emphasized that the state government is striving to end the banditry activities.
The governor visited Maru town to offer condolences to the victims of the recent bandit attack in the area. He assured his commitment to enhancing the security presence in the local government area and other volatile regions of the state.
He reaffirmed his readiness to take any necessary measures to combat insecurity, stating that the present administration would not treat the issue of insecurity lightly.
Dauda Lawal extended sympathies to the emirate, the families of the victims of the recent bandit attack, and the entire populace of the local government area. He reassured the people of his commitment and highlighted efforts to ensure their safety, including the recent employment of Community Protection Guards (CPG).
Special prayers for peace were led by the Chief Imam of the Central Mosque, seeking the restoration of peace in Maru Local Government Area, Zamfara State, and Nigeria as a whole.
