Gov Bago condoles with President Tinubu over death of Akeredolu

Niger State governor Mohammed Umar Bago has condoled with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the death of Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Bago during a condolence visit on the President in Lagos State described his late counterpart, Akeredolu as a dedicated politician.

He stated that the late governor played a significant role in advancing the All Progressives Congress, APC, adding,” I also admire his determination to lead Ondo State effectively.”

Responding to questions from journalists shortly after the visit, the governor said his administration is preparing over one million hectares of land for farming to enhance rice, sesame, cotton production, as well as maize cultivation,to meet the high demand from poultry farmers.

Also, speaking on the recent crisis in Plateau, Bago described the development as unfortunate, adding that soon the North Central Governors Forum would visit their Plateau State counterpart to condole with him.

He added,” I want to stress the importance of strategic discussions on such matters, advocating for open dialogue to address issues and ensure the voices of the people are heard.”

Governor Bago was accompanied on the visit by stakeholders from the state, including the former Minister of Sport, Sani Ndanusa, the immediate past Deputy Governor, Ahmed Ketso, Sen. Mustapha Sani, the House of Representatives member for Bida/Gbako/Katcha federal constituency, Saidu Musa Abdul, and Lado Suleja among others.
