Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has signed into law the state’s 2024 Appropriation Bill of N225.73 billion.
Performing the ceremony at the Government House, Makurdi, on Friday, Gov Alia commended the Benue State House of Assembly for the smooth passage of the 2024 Appropriation Bill.
Alia said the budget aims to sustain the growth and quality of life of the people in the state, describing it as a beacon of hope for job seekers as it will stimulate economic activities in the state.
Alia further said the 2024 budget is targeted at poverty reduction in rural areas and health care without discrimination.
He pledged to work with all stakeholders as he would carry the political class along for the development of the state.
