Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has expressed delight with the position of Lobi Stars on the Nigeria Premier Football League table.
Alia disclosed this during a courtesy visit of the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau and his entourage to Government House in Makurdi.
He promised that Lobi Stars home ground (Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi) will be fixed in a short time to enable the team play all their matches in the state.
Lobi Stars currently adopted the Lafia City Stadium as their home ground for the ongoing Nigeria Premier League season.
The Pride of Benue currently occupy second position on the NPFL table.
“I can confirm that, the Commissioner of Youths, Sports and Creativity has been on my neck. Very soon Lobi Stars Football Club will return to Aper Aku Stadium, even before the League season runs out,” he assured.
Lobi Stars will lock horns with Akwa United in a matchday 13 fixture on Sunday.
