Gov AbdulRazaq, Emir of Ilorin condole Saraki over mother’s death

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has sent his condolences to the Sarakis on the death of their matriarch, Chief Florence Morenike Saraki, which occurred on Tuesday, June 18.

The governor particularly commiserated with the former Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Mr. Olaolu Saraki, and the rest of the family on the sad development.

In a statement by his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin on Wednesday, the governor urged the Sarakis to be consoled by the fine legacies of their matriarch.

Governor AbdulRazaq prayed to God to repose the soul of Chief Mrs Florence Saraki and uphold the family after her death.

Similarly, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has commiserated with Saraki, over the death of his mother, Madam Florence Saraki.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari described the deceased as a wonderful mother, a great philanthropist and virtuous wife of Olusola Saraki, the late Waziri of Ilorin, whose contributions to humanity will forever be remembered.

In a condolence message issued by the Emir’s spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Wednesday, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari sent his heartfelt condolences to Dr. Bukola Saraki, a two-term governor of Kwara State and and former Senate President of Nigeria, as well as his siblings, over the demise of their beloved matriarch.

He also extended his condolences to both immediate and extended family members of the deceased, stressing that, “Late Madam Florence Morenike Saraki lived a fulfilled life with numerous accomplishments.”

The monarch prayed that Almighty God repose her soul and grant the families the fortitude to bear the great loss.
