Glo presents premium house to first winner in “Festival of Joy” promo

It was a carnival of sort in Lagos on Wednesday as a Lagos-based Oil & Gas Engineer, Moses Tsado, got the keys to a premium house in the ongoing Globacom’s Festival of Joy promotion. The promotion is targeted at rewarding High Networth customers of the wholly Nigerian network.

Tsado, a director of Antan Producing Limited, emerged in the first draw held earlier in Lagos on Tuesday. He was presented the keys to the house by the Ojomu of Lakowe, Oba Abdulhakkem Olusegun Ojomu, brand influencer, Nnenna Ekere, and Globacom officials in Lagos, on Wednesday, December 20.

The indigene of Niger State who narrated his experience said he was very excited when he got a call from Glo officials but was skeptical in view of rampant scams everywhere.

According to him, “I got a call from a staff member of Globacom telling me that I won a house in the ongoing promo and I was very excited about it, but my instinct prompted me to cross check so that I will not fall into the hand of scammers. Immediately I called a good friend who works in Globaom and he assured me that all was well. It was after the confirmation that I drove down to meet the officials of the company and the rest is history. To God be the glory”.

The 57-year-old father of two, who is still unsure of his plans for the home, stated that Globacom had demonstrated unwavering dedication to the welfare of Nigerians by launching numerous initiatives over the past 20 years that had greatly benefited the country’s citizens.

Globacom’s Retail Chief for Lagos, Mr. Lawrence Odediran, stated at the event that the presentation fulfilled the company’s commitment to Nigerians. He went on to say that it also demonstrated the company’s commitment to continuously improving the quality of life for its consumers.

He announced that all current and prospective (prepaid and post-paid) subscribers are eligible for the promotion. They can enter the draw by recharging N50,000 or more in a month to be entered to win a Business Class ticket, or by recharging N100,000 or more to be entered to win a Premium Bungalow in Nigeria. “The more you recharge, the more your chances of winning,” he said in closing.

Speaking at the occasion, Mrs. Ijeoma Bassey, a representative of the Nigeria Communications Commission, noted that the Festival of Joy promotion is improving the quality of life for Glo subscribers’ as seen in the presentation of the house to the winner. She stated that NCC is happy with the promotion and that Glo has complied with the rules.

Mrs. Priscilla Onuzulu, Coordinator of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Lagos Office, lauded the company for always giving out amazing prizes and that the ongoing promo is no exception. “Over the years Glo has kept to its promises and the company is always doing the right things as agreed with NLRC. Kudos to Globacom and congratulations to the winner”, she concluded.
