French govt to invest in Cross River agric, tourism sectors

French investors and economic experts have expressed the desire to invest in the agriculture and tourism sectors of Cross River State.

Head of the Regional Economic Department Nigeria-Ghana of the French Embassy, Florent Mangin disclosed the country’s intentions when he led a team on a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of the state, Peter Odey in Calabar.

Mangin said the French business community is eager to partner the Cross River State Government in vital sectors and to undertake infrastructure projects.

He said the collaboration is to enhance economic growth and development in the state.

Mangin expressed appreciation to the Cross River State Government for the warm hospitality accorded him and his entourage through some relevant agencies of government since their arrival in the state.

Welcoming the French delegation, the Deputy Governor emphasized the state government’s readiness to partner with France and other non-state entities to enhance economic development.

He expressed gratitude to both the French government and her business community for expressing commitment to supporting the state’s initiatives.
