Four robbery suspects nabbed for terrorizing Adamawa community

Four youths have been nabbed by the Police for allegedly terrorizing a community in the Adamawa State capital, Yola.

The suspects are charged with making life difficult for residents of Jambutu in Yola North Local Government Area.

The Adamawa State Police Command said in a press release signed by its spokesman, Suleiman Nguroje, that the suspects – Sadiq Usman, 20, Abba Ibrahim, 18, Abdul Jibrin, 20, and Labaran Muhammed, 20 – were apprehended about at Geriyo Junction, a place notorious for night and daylight robberies.

The Police said the suspects were found with dangerous weapons, including a dagger and a knife, and were also smoking dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

“These arrests followed several complaints of robbery and theft from communities in the area,” the Police stated, adding that the suspects are currently in custody for further investigations.
