Four players have been nominated for Remo Stars Player of the Season award, DAILY POST reports.
The four players are, Sikiru Alimi, Ismail Ismail, Jide Fatokun and Ahmed Akinyele.
Alimi finished as top goalscorer for the Sky Blue Stars with 16 goals.
Ismail had an impressive campaign for Daniel Ogunmodede’s side.
His supply from the right-back position led to numbers of goals scored by Remo Stars in the season.
Ismail recorded 15 assists in the league and was rewarded with a Super Eagles call-up for the double-header encounter against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Fatokun was also one of the top performers for the Ikenne club.
The enterprising midfielder was the link between the Remo Stars defence and attack.
He netted twice for the Ikenne-based side.
Academy graduate Akinyele grabbed two goals in the season.
The winner of the award is expected to be announced this week.
