Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, including a handful of ministers serving under President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet are currently having an emergency meeting at the Presidential Villa.

Recall that residents of Niger State thronged the streets on Monday to protest what they termed as unbearable economic hardship.
President Bola Tinubu had last year declared a state of emergency on food insecurity to tackle the increase in food prices.
Current Minister of Solid Minerals Dele Alake had on behalf of the President, said Tinubu is “not unmindful of the rising cost of food and how it affects the citizens.”
