FG to unveil blueprint for rollout of Digital Switch Over – Minister

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on Monday said that the Federal Government would soon unveil a blueprint for the rollout of the Digital Switch Over across the country.

Idris said this while declaring open the Management Conference and Retreat of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), in Abuja on Monday.

The minister used the opportunity to restate the Federal Government’s commitment to the Digital Switch Over project.

“The Ministry of Information and National Orientation is working assiduously for a DSO blueprint that will not fail; that will roll out across urban and rural Nigeria,” he stated.

He further highlighted the importance of the NTA dispatching the project as a key stakeholder.

He challenged the national TV to reflect on the dynamic landscape of the media industry, especially with the advent of new technologies and changing viewer preferences that pose challenges and opportunities.

“The NTA must continue to evolve, embracing innovation while upholding the highest standards of journalistic integrity,” he said.
