A distressing video has surfaced online showing a female student at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere, (BOUESTI) in Ekiti State attacking a peer with a stick.
The viral footage depicts the assailant disregarding the victim’s pleas while wielding the stick.
Reportedly occurring on Sunday, witnesses identified the victim as Ajayi Precious Gloria and the perpetrator as a “very popular” Mass Communication student.
Although the motive remains unclear, the video highlights the lack of intervention from bystanders.
This incident echoes previous cases of bullying, such as the widely circulated video from April involving a student at Lead British International School in Abuja.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has called for a public inquiry into school bullying following these disturbing events.
