The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mr Nyesom Wike, has said the progress and prosperity of the FCT depends on the collective efforts of everyone.
Wike made this statement on Monday in Abuja during his Eid-el-Maulud message to residents of the territory.
He urged the residents to imbibe the virtues of patience, tolerance, and a renewed commitment to the development of the FCT.
The minister stressed the importance of empathy and the virtues of togetherness that should guide residents’ interactions with one another.
According to him, the Prophet’s life offers timeless lessons in the pursuit of peace, unity, and moral excellence.
“Together, we can build a society where everyone thrives in peace and security, just as the Prophet Muhammad envisioned a just and equitable society.
“As we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, this day serves as a profound reminder of the virtues, values, and teachings of the Holy Prophet, who embodied compassion, humility, and justice.
“It also provides an opportunity for us to come together as residents of the FCT to reaffirm our commitment to the values of tolerance, love, and kindness that he so tirelessly preached.
“Let us also take a moment to pray for our nation, Nigeria, and her leaders at all levels as we strive for stability, growth, and the well-being of all citizens,” he said.
