Former Red Devils player Roy Keane shared his thoughts on Kobbie Mainoo on Sunday during the FA Cup semi-final match between Manchester United and Coventry City.
Keane told ITV that while the 19-year-old midfielder has had a brilliant few months, it is not enough to compare him to other midfielders like Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham, stressing that Mainoo is a different type of player.
When asked about Mainoo not being ‘big’ like fellow midfielders Rice and Bellingham, Keane said: “He lacks that physicality. He’s not six foot. But he’s smart. He’s neat and tidy. He’s had a brilliant few months and there’s a chance he will go with England [to Euro 2024 this summer].”
