A 28-year-old ex-convict, Adeniji Ibrahim, has been reported killed in front of his father’s house at Abule Oke axis in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The father of the deceased, Adeniji Kamorudeen, reported at Imasayi Police Division that some group of people arrested his son, accused him of stealing and killed him in front of his house.
According to the report, Kamorudeen said he knew that his son had just returned from prison for a similar criminal offence, but did not suspect anyone in connection with the case.
Confirming the incident on Friday to DAILY POST, the Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, said the command is investigating and has declared a manhunt for the assailants.
Odutola said: “ Yes, it is true, the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday. The command is investigating.”
