Euro 2024: Mbappe to start France vs Netherlands clash on the bench

France captain, Kylian Mbappe, will start their second Euro 2024 group game against the Netherlands on the bench.

According to L’Equipe, Mbappe is available to feature in the match, after he broke his nose against Austria.

Les Bleus’ star player picked up the injury, after he headed the shoulder of Austrian player Kevin Danso during their 1-0 victory on Monday.

There were fears he could miss the rest of the tournament.

Didier Deschamps’ decision to drop Mbappe to the bench will mean the France head coach will reshuffle his starting XI.

Inter Milan striker, Marcus Thuram, will now start up front after he played on the left against Austria.

Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot would move from his midfield role to the left wing, with Ousmane Dembele keeping his place on the right.
