Rep. Etteh presents cheque to Akwa Ibom Health Insurance Agency for enrollment 800 constituents into scheme

… As health insurance boss scores lawmaker high, commends parliamentarian for supporting Governor Umo Eno’s vision

Member of Parliament, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh has presented a cheque of 14.4 million naira to Akwa Ibom State Health Insurance Agency for the enrollment of constituents across the 4 LGAs into scheme.

The lawmaker made the donation on Wednesday when he paid a visit to the office on Wednesday, April 3, saying that it was inline with the ARISE Health policy of the Governor Umo Eno led administration.

Etteh noted that with sound health, the people will be able to maximize their potential and benefit more from government plans and programs, urging the people of Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/ Ibeno Federal Constituency to partake and be beneficiary of the scheme.

Etteh who was represented by a team led by Obong Kingsley Mbre, commended the State Governor for prioritizing the health needs of the people by investing in the primary and secondary health facilities across the state, he added that in a few years time, Akwa Ibom will become a haven for health tourists, assuring that the scheme will be sustained.

Chairman of the Agency, Dr Edikan Ndueso Ekwere while receiving the team commended the lawmaker for his redemption of the promise made during the launch of the scheme by the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno.

Noting that the gesture by the parliamentarian was timely and thoughtful. He commended the lawmaker for the assurance of sustaining the scheme.

Also speaking, the Executive Secretary of the scheme, Dr. Igbemi, Arthur appreciated the lawmaker for partnering the government. He assured the lawmaker that the team will embark on a visit for biometric capturing of the beneficiaries once a suitable date and respective venues are selected.
