Leicester City manager, Steve Cooper lavished praises on Wilfred Ndidi following the midfielder’s impressive display against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Foxes were held to a 2-2 draw by the London club at the Selhurst Park.
Ndidi provided two assists for Jamie Vardy and Stephy Mavididi.
Jean Mateta scored twice to help Crystal Palace earn a point from the game.
Leicester City are, however, still searching for their first win of the season.
Cooper said Ndidi proved doubters wrong by playing well in the advanced position.
“He did quite a lot of that last season from the analysis I did,” Cooper said of Ndidi’s advanced position.
“We have the players to make decisions on certain profiles for certain games in certain positions.
“Wilf delivered, he’s had a long week travelling and there was thought about the international boys, whether they should play or not. But Wilf’s got so many Premier League appearances under him, which doesn’t mean you start a game but we felt we needed that and luckily it showed.”
