EPL: Why Man Utd managers after Sir Alex Ferguson failed – Sir Jim Ratcliffe

New Manchester United minority owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has reflected on the performances of managers at Old Trafford, since Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down in 2013.

According to Ratcliffe, the coaches have been “very capable”, but the culture at the club has not been good.

He said: “What I would say, if you look at the last 11 years, United have had quite a few coaches.

“Some of them are very capable and have been very successful – but nobody has been successful in that Manchester United environment for the last 11 years.

“So that would say to me that there’s something wrong with the environment.”

Since Ferguson left the Red Devils, David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have taken the job.
