Manchester City defender, Kyle Walker has warned that his team will get ‘walked over’ by Liverpool if they don’t improve before their Premier League clash next weekend.
Walker spoke after Man City were thrashed 4-0 against Tottenham Hotspur at home on Saturday.
Man City’s defeat to Tottenham means the Cityzens have now lost five games in a row for the first time since 2006.
Pep Guardiola’s side are now five points behind Liverpool, who could extend it to eight points if they beat Southampton on Sunday.
Man City will face Feyenoord in the Champions League on Tuesday before a huge trip to Anfield next Sunday.
“It’s a great game to turn it around and take three points from the team who sit above you,” Walker told Sky Sports.
“But we can’t put in a performance like that or we’ll get walked over.
“We have a Champions League game to prepare for that massive game on Sunday and keep within touching distance of Liverpool.”
