EPL: Three games to determine if Ratcliffe sacks Ten Hag – Gary Neville

Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has said manager Erik Ten Hag needs to prove himself in three “defining games” before the end of the season if he wants to avoid the sack.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s 25% stake in the Red Devils has seen Ineos take control of football operations.

A couple of changes are planned off the pitch at the Premier League.

Neville believes that a decision on whether Ten Hag remains as manager will likely be defined by how he performs in the biggest games – starting with this afternoon’s Manchester derby.

“Ten Hag’s got two [games] against Liverpool and one against City. I do think they’re defining games,’ Neville said on Sky Sports.

“The new owners will probably make their call after those games.”
