EPL table: Liverpool go top after 2-0 win over Burnley

Liverpool have gone top of the Premier League table following a 2-0 win over Burnley on Boxing Day.

Jurgen Klopp’s men travelled to Turf Moor in second place, looking to put pressure on Arsenal.

Darwin Nunez ended his goal drought to put the Reds in front.

The Uruguayan striker had gone over 600 minutes without scoring, but curled in a fantastic effort from the edge of the box early on.

Harvey Elliott’s effort was ruled out because Mohamed Salah was standing in an offside position, before Diogo Jota sealed the win.

Liverpool now have 42 points, two more than Arsenal who welcome West Ham on Thursday.
