EPL: Stop being stubborn – Arteta under fire for failing to sign striker for Arsenal

British TV personality, Piers Morgan has hit out at Arsenal’s manager for failing to sign a striker this January.

Morgan, who is a lifelong Gunners fan, in a tweet on Thursday reminded Arteta that there are 14 days left to complete a deal.

He also name-dropped Brentford’s Ivan Toney, who has admitted he wants to join a team competing for the title.

Morgan wrote: “The January transfer window closes in 14 days but Arsenal still haven’t signed a striker despite proven goalscorers like @ivantoney24 almost begging to go to a big club.

“What are you waiting for @m8arteta? Stop being so stubborn about your ‘process’ & get your chequebook out.”

Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah are the only two senior strikers in Arsenal’s squad currently.
