Liverpool winger, Mohamed Salah, is confident that the Reds are going to do something ‘special’ amid the Premier League title race this season.
Salah spoke after Liverpool’s dramatic Premier League 2-1 comeback win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Two goals from Salah and Elliott gave Liverpool the victory over Crystal Palace.
Liverpool were below par in the first half and looked likely to be heading for a defeat when Jean-Philippe Mateta’s penalty put Palace into a deserved lead.
The controversial sending off of Jordan Ayew in the 75th minute turned the contest in Liverpool’s favour.
The victory over Palace send Jugen Klopp’s side top of the league ahead of Arsenal, who will reclaim back the top spot if they beat Aston Villa on Saturday evening.
“I see the mentality to keep fighting until the end and we did that in this game, the last game and the game before,” Salah said at his post-match interview after the game.
“It is something positive we can take from that. Of course we have a new team now because there are six or seven players who are new in the starting line-up.
“We just have to give them our advice. They are learning a lot and they are really nice guys who are able to learn.
“From 2019 I think there are similarities but the other guys achieved a lot we need to give them credit. But I am sure we can do something special this year.”
