Former Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel has revealed that Romelu Lukaku was the player who always arrived late to training and matches during his early days at the Premier League west London club.
Obi Mikel spoke during a recent visit to Cobham Arena, Chelsea’s training ground, as part of The Obi One Podcast.
The former Super Eagles captain said: “Someone who is always late. It was Romelu Lukaku when he came.
“Lovely guy, we had a chat and he realized that he needs to get better with time.
“And then he sorted it out, and he was fine.”
Lukaku first joined Chelsea as a young striker back in 2011.
