Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville has urged Mikel Arteta to drop Jorginho and replace him with Declan Rice in his starting XI to face Manchester City.
Arsenal will tackle Man City in their next Premier League tie next Sunday at Etihad Stadium.
The Gunners head to the game after beating Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at the weekend.
Rice did not feature against Tottenham due to suspension.
However, Neville wants Arteta to replace Jorginho with Rice in his line-up against Pep Guardiola’s side.
“I think he [Rice] will come in just for Jorginho [against Man City] and then leave it as it is,” Neville said on the Gary Neville Podcast.
“I think Trossard did well in that role – the number 10 – so I don’t think he [Mikel Arteta] will change that.
“I think he will keep it simple against [City]. I don’t think Mikel Arteta is doing anything nowadays that is surprising us and I say that in a positive and a complimentary sense.”
