Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has said only Arsenal will challenge Manchester City in the Premier League title race this season.
Neville was speaking on his podcast following Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with United at Anfield on Sunday.
The Gunners returned to the top of the table with a 2-0 victory over Brighton, a day after City drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace at home.
Neville defended City’s poor form due to their incredible consistency in recent years, but said Arsenal’s squad has put them in a better position to fight for the title.
“I do think Arsenal are the only challengers for City.
“I never bought into the Liverpool thing before [Sunday]. It could happen just because of purely Klopp, if they strengthen that midfield in January, but I feel Arsenal are a better team,” Neville said.
