EPL: Maresca singles out four Chelsea players after 1-0 win at Bournemouth

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has hailed the contributions of his substitutes, following a 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Robert Sanchez saved a penalty from Evanilson to keep the Blues in the game.

But it was Christopher Nkunku who came off the bench to combine with fellow substitute Jadon Sancho, to score the winner.

Maresca, speaking after the match, was asked about Sancho’s debut.

He replied: “He did exactly what we expected from him and Tosin Adarabioyo was the same and Christopher Nkunku too.

“Joao Felix was very good. All the guys from the bench were very good.

“We were creating chances and we needed just a bit more quality from inside the box and he [Sancho] did that. Nkunku is not starting but he is working very well.”
