Cody Gakpo netted the equalizer for Liverpool in the 69th minute, while Mohamed Salah scored the winning goal for the Reds with a left-footed shot in the 72nd minute.
Following the win at Anfield, Sturridge took to his official X account and hailed the Egyptian for his display against Brighton.
The former Manchester City star wrote, “Salaaahhhhhhh!! When he cuts in like that, his far post whip is lethal!”

Arsenal also lost 1-0 to Newcastle United on the same day and would drop out of top four if Chelsea beat Manchester United on Sunday evening.
