Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry has hailed the club’s transfer target Dominic Solanke amid his impressive form for Bournemouth in the Premier League this season.
Henry said he is happy for Solanke, adding that the 26-year-old is brilliant.
Solanke has been linked with Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will reportedly push for the Gunners to sign Solanke in the January transfer window if they miss out on Brentford’s Ivan Toney.
Asked to name a player who has impressed him in the Premier League this season, Henry told Amazon Prime: “Dominic Solanke, the way he is playing at Bournemouth.
“Not only him, the team is doing extremely well, but we have been waiting for him to be that player.
“It guess it was a bit too much when he was younger. But what he is doing right now is brilliant.
“I am happy for him because he did struggle for a little.”
Solanke has scored 12 goals across 18 Premier League matches this season for Bournemouth with only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland having scored more goals than him.
