Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has claimed his team does not need to win the Premier League title or FA Cup, for him to believe it has been a successful season.
City could kick off against Wolves four points behind Arsenal at the top of the table if the Gunners beat Bournemouth at the Emirates earlier in the day.
If Guardiola’s men drop points, it could open the way for Arsenal to go on and win the title.
But even that will not change how Guardiola feels about his players.
He said: “It’s not about winning or losing that will change my opinion about this season in terms of what they have done.
“If we win these two prizes it’s not going to change at all my opinion about that, about the club if we win or don’t win the title.
“Of course we want it but we are fighting for something no team in this country has done ever — ever — so of course it’s a big challenge and we want it.”
