Former Chelsea star, Jason Cundy, has hailed winger, Chinonso ‘Noni’ Madueke following his performance in the first half of the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Sheffield United in a Premier League match on Sunday.
Chelsea traveled to the Bramall Lane on Sunday evening to face the Blades but could not take all three points back to Stamford Bridge.
Mauricio Pochettino started Madueke for the fifth time this season in the Premier League and he scored a beautiful goal against the Blades.
His goal was not enough to secure the maximum points for Chelsea as the Blades made it 2-2 with just two minutes to the stoppage time through Oliver McBurnie.
“It’s been slow, it’s laboured. I’m looking for someone on that pitch there to take a little bit of responsibility,” Cundy told The Chelsea Chronicle.
“You can’t just have one individual… you need there to be a collective spark, and that collective spark just hasn’t happened. Noni Madueke’s the only one I can think of that looks like something might happen.”
