Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has confirmed he would promote two academy players into the first team ahead of the 2024/2025 campaign.
According to him, they are James McAtee and Nico O’Reilly.
Both youngsters have impressed Guardiola on City’s pre-season tour of the United States.
McAtee and O’Reilly will now be given chances in the senior squad.
“McAtee and O’Reilly will be first team options for the new season, we have decided internally.
“Today McAtee makes his potential as a player,” Guardiola said after a 4-2 win over Chelsea.
