Barcelona legend, Carles Puyol has hailed Chelsea midfielder, Moises Caicedo as a great player.
Puyol believes the Ecuador international has the quality and talent to do ‘important things’ for Chelsea under their manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Caicedo has endured an underwhelming first season at Stamford Bridge following his £115m move from Brighton last summer.
He has flattered to deceive in a largely dysfunctional Chelsea team but produced one of his best performances of the season in Monday’s Premier League 6-0 victory over Everton.
“He’s a great player,” Puyol told Ecuadorian outlet El Universo when asked for his thoughts on the 22-year-old midfielder.
“I think he has the necessary quality, the necessary talent to be able to do important things. But the most important thing is that he’s in a great team where he can grow a lot.”
