EPL: Four fixtures we could see shock results this weekend

Football fans have been itching for the October international break to end, so they can savour Premier League action once again.

The game everyone is looking forward to is Liverpool vs Chelsea on Sunday.

Although that fixture will bring clarity to the title contenders and pretenders, we will have some interesting games before the Anfield cracker.

So, which four matches are we likely to see upsets?

1. Tottenham vs West Ham: It all kicks off at the Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. The last time out, Ange Postecoglou’s men gave up a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at Brighton.

The Australian manager was fuming at full time and demanded a response from his players. In Saturday’s early kick-off, they will be at home against West Ham, who are beginning to find form and could pose a real threat in this London Derby.

2. Man Utd vs Brentford: Erik ten Hag always seems like a man that is one game away from being sacked. And no doubt, the visit of Brentford this weekend will prove to be yet another test for United, who have only won twice at Old Trafford. Thomas Frank’s men are now also building a reputation for scoring in a blink after kick-off. So the Red Devils have to be very alert.

3. Wolves vs Man City: Pep Guardiola’s men will go top of the table if they win at Wolves before Liverpool play Chelsea.

But it will not be as straightforward as it sounds. Last season, City suffered their first defeat of that season at the Molineux. And without Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri, Wolves will be looking to repeat that and begin a climb off the bottom.

4. Bournemouth vs Arsenal: One of Saturday’s 3pm kick-offs will see Arsenal travel to Bournemouth, as they look to maintain their fine start to this campaign.

Mikel Arteta’s men are notoriously a hard nut to crack away from home. But the hosts are a very dangerous side and could take advantage of injuries to key players for the Gunners.
