EPL: Dream has come down to an end – Ten Hag breaks silence on Man Utd sack

Erik ten Hag has spoken for the first time since he was sacked as Manchester United manager.

The Dutchman penned an emotional farewell letter to the fans on Friday.

Ten Hag was sacked after United lost 2-1 to West Ham in the Premier League.

In the letter, Ten Hag recounted his fond memories in the Old Trafford job.

“Thank you for always being there for the club,” the letter read in part.

“The atmosphere at Old Trafford has always been electrifying, thanks to you. I felt it many times.

“Also in away games, it gave the team and me an incredible feeling to hear the United chants taking over the opponents’ stadiums, whether the game was in England, Europe or during the summer tours.”

It added: “We won two trophies – achievements that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Of course, my dream was to bring more trophies to the cabinet. Unfortunately, that dream has come to an end.”

Ten Hag went on to wish supporters success, trophies and glory.

United have already announced that Ten Hag will be replaced by Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon.
