However, they were stunned by Michael Olise’s sublime opening goal.
Olise slalomed past Casemiro and saw his effort go past Andre Onana.
Jean-Philippe Mateta skipped past Jonny Evans and slammed in for 2-0 before Olise got his brace after the break.
United are now in real danger of missing out on European football next season.
Erik ten Hag’s men now have three fixtures left, starting with the visit of Arsenal this Sunday.
