Chelsea have reportedly changed their mind over Andrey Santos’ future at Stamford Bridge.
The midfielder is now set to be loaned out next season.
The 20-year-old signed for the Premier League west London club in January last year.
But he is yet to make his debut for the Blues.
The Brazilian spent the first-half of last season on loan at Nottingham Forest and was recalled having made just two appearances for the Premier League club.
Santos was then sent to French Ligue club Strasbourg, where he made a great impression.
He won the French Ligue 1 Young Player of the Month award in March.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have changed their decision to allow Santos to remain at Stamford Bridge this upcoming season and will loan him back to Strasbourg for the 2024/25 campaign.
It is believed the player would not be a perfect fit for new manager Enzo Maresca’s style of play.
