EPL: Bruno Fernandes got booked deliberately to avoid Liverpool vs Man Utd – Keys

BeIN Sports pundit, Richard Keys has claimed that Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes got booked on purpose so he would miss next weekend’s Premier League clash at Liverpool.

Fernandes picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign during their 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Portugal playmaker was booked for arguing with referee Peter Bankes late in the game.

The fifth yellow card means he will now serve a one-match ban.

Keys has claimed Fernandes did it deliberately because he “knows that next week could be a bad day out”.

Speaking to Andy Gray on beIN Sports, Keys said: “Do you think Fernandes knew that if he got booked, he was going to miss the Liverpool game?”
