Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said their goalless draw with Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday was “another big step.”
The Gunners saw their eight-game winning run in 2024 end at the Etihad.
However, Arteta is delighted with his side’s display, as they stopped the champions from scoring at home for the first time since 2021.
“We made another big step today. Individually, you have to be at your best. I think it is 2021 since they hadn’t scored a goal here at the Etihad. It was a really tough test for us today. We wanted to win but when you cannot win you must not lose,” Arteta said.
Arsenal host Luton Town next Wednesday.
