Former Newcastle United coach, Alan Pardew, has urged Manchester United to appoint Mark Robins as their next manager if they eventually part ways with Erik ten Hag at the end of the season.
Ten Hag is under huge pressure at Man United because of the club ‘s performance this season.
The Dutchman has been tipped to leave the Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Different top managers including Thomas Tuchel and Zinedine Zidane have been linked with move to succeed the former Ajax coach.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Pardew said:
“I have got a gaffer for you. Are you ready? He is not an international, he has not won the Dutch league, he has not won the French league.
“He is an old player of yours. He has done brilliant for four seasons, he almost beat you in the semi-final – Mark Robins.
“There you go. Get him in. He will do you a job, I tell you.”
Robins spent eight years at Manchester United from 1984 to 1992.
