EPL: 4 fixtures we could see shock results this weekend

This weekend, the last round of Premier League fixtures before the international break will be played across the UK.

Liverpool are the early pacesetters, sitting top with 15 points, one more than Manchester City and Arsenal who both have 14 points.

So, which four games are we likely to record upsets?

1. Crystal Palace vs Liverpool: The Reds have a bad history with Saturday early kick-offs and the scheduling has left Arne Slot fuming. It doesn’t help that they are away to Crystal Palace, who are in desperate need of points. Oliver Glasner knows he has to start getting the points or else even he could be in a sticky spot.

2. Arsenal vs Southampton: Mikel Arteta will remember too well how Southampton contributed to their title collapse two seasons ago. The Saints went 2-0 up in the first half, before the Gunners fought back to draw 3-3. That time, it was a former player Theo Walcott that came back to haunt them. This time around, it is Aaron Ramsdale, who Arteta forced out in the summer.

3. Man City vs Fulham: The first game Manchester City played without Rodri ended in a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United. And this weekend, they host Fulham who have started the season very well and sit in 6th place with 11 points. Again, Pep Guardiola will be without the talismanic Kevin De Bruyne who is injured and the visitors might smell a chance to take points off them.

4. Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest: Enzo Maresca’s men appear to be flying in the early stages of this season. Chelsea are not only playing well, they are scoring a lot of goals while rotating players. However, Forest have only lost once this campaign and it came last week against Fulham. They would be looking to bounce back at Stamford Bridge.
