Enyimba assistant coach, Olanrewaju Yemi has said his team was made to work hard for the victory against Lobi Stars.
The People’s Elephant defeated the Pride of Benue 1-0 at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba on Sunday
Yemi pointed out that the team’s intense preparations paid dividends with the result.
“We already prepared for the game as we know Lobi Stars as a very decent side,” he told Enyimba’s media.
“We knew initially that it was going to be a tough battle with the visitors.
“But we are Enyimba, we don’t give up, the players know how important we need a victory.”
Enyimba moved up to 16th position on the table with 10 points following the win.
